Iannuzzis married 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. Carmine N. Iannuzzi Sr. of Woodbridge, Conn., observed their 50th wedding anniversary with a celebration June 28, 2003, at the home of a daughter in Bethany, Conn.

Iannuzzi and the former Ethel Rose "Rusty" Schmitt were married June 27, 1953, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee, Mo., by the Rev. Thomas Geraghty. Mrs. Iannuzzi is formerly of Chaffee, and a 1952 graduate of St. Mary's High School (Notre Dame) in Cape Girardeau.

Iannuzzi was a master steam fitter 55 years with Uniroyal Chemical in Naugatuck, Conn. Mrs. Iannuzzi was a day care provider more than 40 years.

The couple has seven children and four grandchildren.
