Frances Shepherd

Frances M. Shepherd, 79, a resident of Charleston Manor Nursing Home, formerly of Cairo, Ill., died Friday, Sept. 15, 2006, at the nursing facility. She was born Aug. 21, 1927, in Mississippi County, daughter of Orville and Cletia Lepchenski Jones. She and Earl A. "Bud" Shepherd Jr., of Cairo, were married...

Frances M. Shepherd, 79, a resident of Charleston Manor Nursing Home, formerly of Cairo, Ill., died Friday, Sept. 15, 2006, at the nursing facility.

She was born Aug. 21, 1927, in Mississippi County, daughter of Orville and Cletia Lepchenski Jones. She and Earl A. "Bud" Shepherd Jr., of Cairo, were married.

Shepherd was a member of Mighty Rivers Regional Worship Center in Cairo.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Linda White of Anna, Ill.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Dr. Larry L. Potts officiating.

Interment will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.
