St. Paul Lutheran School to have spaghetti day

The Ninth annual St. Paul Lutheran School all-you-can-eat spaghetti day will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 29 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall in Jackson. The menu is spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, dessert and drinks. Tickets are available from any St. Paul student, through the school office or at the door. The event is co-sponsored by Thrivent Financial.

St. Denis to hold family-style dinner

The St. Denis Parish of Benton, Mo., will hold its annual all-you-can-eat family-style dinner from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 8. The menu is chicken and dumplings, kettle beef, chicken and dressing, sweet potatoes, buttered potatoes, green beans, corn, slaw and homemade desserts. Children 5 and under eat free. Carryouts will be available. Chances for an afghan, tools, savings bond and cash will be available.
