The Cape Girardeau Fire Department rescued a boat caught adrift in the Mississippi River after it lost power Monday night.

At 10:21 p.m., rescue crews towed the boat in after a lanyard was caught in the boat's propeller, according to fire Capt. John Ryan.

Fire crews brought the boat back to a field station where it was repaired. There were no injuries.
