Marching Tigers band to perform in St. Louis

The Cape Girardeau Central High School Marching Tigers Band will compete at the St. Louis Dome band competition Saturday. Last year, the Tigers finished third at the competition, band officials said. Tickets to the band's final competition of the marching band season can be purchased the day of the event. Cape Central's marching band finished second in its division at the Farmington, Mo., Marching Band Contest Sept. 23. The band finished fourth Oct. 7 at the Washington, Mo., Band Festival and third Oct. 14 at the Potosi, Mo., competition. At the Potosi festival featuring 20 bands, Cape Central finished behind two large St. Louis bands.
