The New Salem Baptist Academy volleyball team continued its unbeaten season with another perfect day at the Missouri Christian Schools Activities Association state tournament in Joplin, Mo.

New Salem of Marble Hill defeated Riverview 25-19, 25-18 Friday afternoon in its final pool-play game.

Laura Pool had 18 assists and one kill, Martha Poole had nine kills, and Kelsey Barlow and Sarah Green each had four kills. Celsey Cook had three kills.

In the first round of bracket play, New Salem dominated St.Louis Christian 25-12, 25-13. Laura Poole had 12 assists along with a kill and an ace. Green added six aces and two kills, and Celsey Cook had six kills and one ace.

New Salem plays Grandview today in the semifinals at 8 a.m. The winner advances to the championship game later in the day.
