Edward "Pete" Anson McKee, 87, of Scott City died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2006, at the Monticello House in Jackson.
He was born Jan. 5, 1919, at Cape Girardeau, son of the late William F. McKee Sr. and Jeffie Olivia Warrington McKee.
McKee was employed as an insurance examiner with the state of Missouri. He served in the U.S. Army 140th Infantry Division in World War II.
Survivors include four brothers, Pat and Albert McKee of Cape Girardeau, Glen McKee of Longmont, Colo., and Seth McKee of Phoenix; and two sisters, Willa "Dee" McKee of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Olivia Tharpe of Florissant, Mo.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Charles Lance will officiate, with military graveside rites by the Missouri Military Honors Program. Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
