Power and light committee

• Set a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 18 to consider the proposed 2007 Jackson annual budget.
• Approved task order authorization for $19,500 to Allen and Hoshall of Memphis, Tenn., for engineering services under the industrial substation circuit 6 conversion and the South Hope Street three-phase circuit 21 extension project.
• Accepted the bid of PR Developers Inc. of Cape Girardeau for $799,284 regarding the Williams Creek West Interceptor Sewer Project.
• Authorized a contractual agreement with PR Developers regarding the Williams Creek West Interceptor Sewer Project.
• Adopted the employee safety policy.

Street committee

• Set a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 18 to consider the rezoning of part of the property addressed as 615 E. Jackson Blvd. from single-family residential district to general commercial district as submitted by Merlin and Julee Ann Williams.
• Approved task order authorization for $4,460, to Strickland Engineering, for engineering services under the Vera Wagner Drive-Emma Street-Odus Drive corridor study.
• Accepted the South Old Orchard Road, phase three corridor study, as prepared by Koehler Engineering and Land Surveying Inc.
• Detached a portion of the Bainbridge Road right of way and annexed a portion of the Bainbridge Road and South Old Orchard Road rights of way.
