WAPPAPELLO, Mo. -- Margaret "Jackie" Green, 83, of Wappapello died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 21, 1923, in Clifton, Tenn., daughter of Thomas Martin and Virgie Griffin Hill. She and Ralph A. Green were married Nov. 20, 1954, in Hernando, Miss.

She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Glenda Gum of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Shirley Kirkendile of Blytheville, Ark., Monetta Boyd of Greenway, Ark.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son and four brothers.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home today from 4 p.m. to service time.

The funeral will be at 5 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Cy Smith officiating. Burial will be at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield at a later date.
