FULTON, Mo. -- Jim McGee, 59, of Fulton died Monday, Nov. 27, 2006, at Boone Hospital Center.
He was born Oct. 21, 1947, in Sikeston, Mo., son of G.R. "Ray" and Gertrude Humphries McGee. He and Barbara Johnson were married July 24, 1977.
McGee was a heavy equipment operator 25 years with Union Local 513. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge in Plato, Mo., and VFW Post 2657.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Steve McGee of Harrisburg, Mo., Shannon Baumgartner of Millersburg, Mo.; three daughters, Kristi McGee of Columbia, Mo., Sheila Kern of Fulton, Dakota McGee of the home; a stepson, Rick Morse of Fulton; two brothers, David and Larry McGee of Piedmont, Mo.; four sisters, Barbara Trankle of Marble Hill, Mo., Bonnie Whitehurst of Iuka, Miss., Bobbie Sims of Friendswood, Texas, Billie Grindstaff of Marble Hill; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ron Baker officiating. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
