Gordon Heitzeberg, 58 of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, at his home. He was born Oct. 19, 1948, in Pontiac, Mich., son of Charles G. and Margaret Beecher Heitzeberg. Gordon Heitzeberg, 58 of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, at his home.

He was born Oct. 19, 1948, in Pontiac, Mich., son of Charles G. and Margaret Beecher Heitzeberg. He and Diomisita Cabugnason were married July 18, 1998.

Heitzeberg lived and taught in various places, including Azerbaijan, Sudan, Sri Lanka, Honduras, Bahrain and Shanghai.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Anthony E. and Andrew G. Heitzeberg of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Elizabeth Boone and Margaret Hayden Heitzeberg of St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be no service.

McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau is in charge of arrangements.
