Two people were taken to Southeast Missouri Hospital on Wednesday after a two-car collision on County Road 205, one mile south of Cape Girardeau, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Chastity N. Hood, 27, of Zalma, Mo., was northbound on County Road 205 at about 7:40 a.m. when she crossed the center line and struck a vehicle driven by Leslie L. Grout, 25, of Cape Girardeau, the patrol reported. Grout was southbound on the road. A 4-year-old girl who was a passenger in Grout's vehicle was transported to the hospital as was Hood.

Both were reported to have moderate injuries, according to the highway patrol.
