Freese-Clifford

Tara Freese and Brian Clifford were married Oct. 7, 2006, at All Saints Church in St. Louis. The Rev. Vincent Heir performed the ceremony. Vocalists were Rick Rief of St. Louis, cousin of the bride, and Nicole Arnzen of Cape Girardeau.

The bride is the daughter of Bill and Ronda Heaton and Larry and Sharon Freese, all of Jackson. The groom is the son of John and Margaret Clifford of Queens, N.Y.

Matron of honor was Kristi Deneke of Columbia, Mo., sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Nancy Ledbetter of St. Charles, Mo., cousin of the bride; Amy Klaus, Angella Ackerman and Heidi Erler of St. Louis; Dawn Caldwell of Detroit, Mich.; Sarah Blake of Rochester, N.Y., Stacy Harp of Dallas, Texas; Christine Coyle of Chicago; Rachel Whitlow of Richmond, Va., and Melanie Moore of Sikeston, Mo., both sisters of the bride.

John Clifford of Queens served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Michael Clifford of Long Island, N.Y., and Kevin Clifford of Queens, brothers of the groom; Christopher Kelly, Liam McEnery and Steven O'Fee of Queens; Danny Doyle and Christian Schnaufer of Long Island; Derrick Deneke of Columbia; Oscar Garcia of Canary Islands, Spain; and Kresimir Miksa of Stuttgart, Germany.

Flower girls were Campbell Deneke, niece of the bride, and Mia Ledbetter, cousin of the bride. Ringbearers were Ryan and Sean McEnery, nephews of the groom.

Bell girl was Katie Ledbetter, goddaughter of the bride. Giftbearer was Cooper Deneke, nephew of the bride.

The dinner and dance reception was held at the Chase Park Plaza in St. Louis.

Mrs. Clifford is director of continuing dental education programs at New York University.

The groom retired in 2003 from professional basketball in Europe. He is healthcare manager for business development with American Express.

After a wedding trip to Cabo San Lucas, the couple resides in New York City.
