The Notre Dame baseball team fell behind 6-2 after three innings and could not recover Wednesday in a 9-7 SEMO Conference loss to Dexter.

The Bulldogs fell to 4-3 overall and 1-1 in the conference.

Dylan Drury allowed seven runs, six earned, in four innings for the loss. Notre Dame also committed five errors.

Drury had two hits for the Bulldogs (4-3).

"We haven't put together but maybe one ballgame all year long," Notre Dame coach Jeff Graviett said.

Chaffee starter Adam Crowe struck out 13 and did not walk a batter in a complete-game two-hitter.

Crowe and Andy Hendrix led Chaffee (5-3) with three hits apiece. Michael Lee, Jerrod Steger and Zach McDaniel had two hits each for Chaffee.

Bell City scored a run in the seventh to capture a home win.

The Cubs fell behind 8-2 heading into the bottom of the fourth, but Bell City (2-1) answered with a six-run fourth.

Nick Niemczyk pitched 3 2/3 hitless innings of relief for the win. Niemczyk struck out four.

Alan Long and Clay Dover had three hits apiece for Bell City. Niemczyk and Eddie Green each added two hits. Green and Dover had three RBIs apiece.

Austin Gelsheimer shared medalist honors at the Sikeston Country Club.

Dakota Trevino of Sikeston tied Gelsheimer with a 43.

Notre Dame's scoring was rounded out by Austin Hunter (45), Brett Slaten (45) and Jack Wedemeier 47.

JV -- Notre Dame 199, Sikeston 224. Medalist -- Joe Wiggans 47.

Jackson 178, Farmington 191

Josh Wheeler was medalist for Jackson with a 40.

T.J. Smith fired a 43, and A.J. Balsman added a 46 for the Indians. Brian Hill and Joe Shutz each added a 49.

St. Vincent 187, Herculaneum 206

Lucas Schumer was the medalist with a 43 in a conference dual at Herculaneum.

St. Vincent improved to 3-0 in the Jefferson County Conference and 4-0 overall.

Rounding out the scoring for St. Vincent were Jason Carron (46), Zach Richardet (47) and David Rhoden 51.
