Driving from Oran to Cape, I know at any given point Chingy will pop up with his renowned song "Right Thurr." What bugs me is that I've heard it so many times yet I can never quite spit out the lyrics in the chorus the correct way. It just sounds like I was born with a horrible speech impediment.

Music is a great thing. Without it, I may have been diagnosed with multiple personality disorder due to having conversations with myself in the car. The thing I've noticed though is that it seems that the stations take the top 5 to 10 songs of its genre -- depending on the radio station -- and put the CD on repeat. I mean I love the song "Get Low" but if I hear "skeet skeet skeet skeet skeet skeet" one more time in the edited version, I just might have to go postal. I apologize to the parents who have no idea what I'm talking about. To spark up a conversation with your teen child why don't you go up to them and say casually, "What is up with all those skeet skeets anyway?"

I'm sure running away in embarrassment will be the last thing on their minds.

A couple of songs that can't be avoided at school dances are the Cha Cha Slide and the Electric Slide. Both were enjoyable the first couple of times, but now they seem a chore to dance to. I usually end up enjoying myself until I hop into someone and we've all been instructed to do the "Charlie Brown."

That's when all of us usually look at each other in a confused manner and frantically search for the poor soul who may actually know what the Charlie Brown is.

The Electric Slide is a meaningless song. That's basically all I have to say about that. If you've been to at least one school dance in your life and don't know how to do this dance routine, I suggest you seek professional help because it may in fact be the simplest thing ever created.

Oh, I almost forgot about the Macarena. Apparently some DJs forget that it's not 1997 and still insist on playing this song. For some unknown reason, we all laugh hysterically, get in a big group and all do the Macarena. Almost halfway through the song we begin wondering to ourselves why in God's name we are actually dancing while this song is playing. Trying to avoid attention to ourselves, we slowly creep back to our seats. By the end of the song, you could probably hear crickets chirping on the empty dance floor if it wasn't for the Thong Song beginning to play.

I've always wondered if we'll still enjoy the same music we like now at the age of 80. Hopefully I won't lose a lung spitting out those lyrics to "Roll Out."

Here's a few songs that you might want to download if you want to avoid the painful mistake of buying a CD that you'll most likely lose anyway:
