see the greats

BowlingHall of Fame: 111 Stadium Plaza, St. Louis, Mo., just across from Busch Stadium. From April through September the museum is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. From October through March the museum is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children.TIPS

A good way to choose ball weight is to choose one that weighs about 10 percent of your weight.

Always keep your eyes on your target until after you have released the ball.

Always pick up a bowling ball with two hands to avoid stress to your body.

Follow good form on your follow through. Keep your shoulders square to the foul lines, and keep your back straight and knees bent.

Keep a relaxed grip. Eliminate squeezing the ball in the grip.

Etiquette

The bowler on the right should go first if two bowlers approach at the same time.

Be ready to bowl when the pins are set.

Keep only one ball per person on the rack.

Be on time for league play.

Keep beverages off the approach area.
