  • Beginner line dance lessons begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday and May 16, 23, 30 at Eagles Aerie 3775, 321 N. Spring Ave., Cape Girardeau. Open to the public, free.
  • PWP will hold a general meeting/orientation from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Delmonico's restaurant in Jackson. A program on diabetes will be presented by Southeast Missouri Hospital Diabetes Association. Open to the public, free.
  • At 10 a.m. Saturday PWP will hold a family activity, participating in Fort D days. Meet at the Fort in downtown Cape.
  • PWP will host "Card Mania," an evening of cards and other games, from 7 to 10 p.m. May 11 at Riverside Regional Library, Union and Adams streets, Jackson. Open to the public, free.
  • A singles dance sponsored by PWP will be held from 8 p.m. to midnight May 12 at the VFW Hall in Cape Girardeau. Open to the public. Music by Charlie's Review. Theme: Country Hoedown. Cost is discounted for members.
  • PWP will hold a Mother's Day picnic at 1 p.m. May 13 at Cape County Park, South, pavillion No. 3. Meat and drinks provided, please bring a covered dish.
  • PWP will hold a board/orientation meeting from 7 to 8:30 p.m. May 18 at Riverside Regional Library. Open to the public, free.
  • PWP will attend "Arts Cape" from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 19 at Capaha Park. Meet at the train to go in a group, or you may attend at anytime that is convenient.
  • PWP will attend "Tunes at Twilight" at 7 p.m. May 25 on the Cape Girardeau Courthouse lawn. Meet there, bring a blanket or lawn chair. Free, open to the public.
