Virginia Lee Watkins Nance, 77, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, May 14, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 3, 1929, in Jackson, daughter of Claude and Bessie Thiele Watkins. She and Herbert Nance were married Sept. 1, 1951, in Cape Girardeau.

Mrs. Nance was a 1947 graduate of Central High School. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, VFW Post 3838 Auxiliary and American Legion Post 63 Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband, Herbert Nance of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Debbie Keenan and husband Alan of Sikeston, Mo.; two grandsons, Jonathan Keenan of St. Louis, Scotty Keenan of Sikeston; a nephew, Gary Danback of New Jersey; and a niece, Carlyn Knight of Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Moon officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
