'The Namesake'

Starring Kal Penn, Tabu, Irfan Khan, Jacinda Barrett and Zuleikha Robinson. After moving from Calcutta to New York, the members of the Ganguli family maintain a delicate balancing act between honoring the traditions of their native India and blending into American culture. Although parents Ashoke and Ashima are proud of the sacrifices they make to give their offspring opportunities, their son Gogol strives to forge his own identity without forgetting his heritage. Rated PG-13 for sexuality/nudity, a scene of drug use, some disturbing images and brief language, running time 122 minutes. (Town Plaza Cinema)

'Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End'

Starring Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley, Stellan Skarsgard, Bill Nighy, Chow Yun-Fat and Geoffrey Rush. Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann join forces with Capt. Barbossa to free Jack Sparrow from Davy Jones' locker. Meanwhile, the crew of The Flying Dutchman ghost ship wreak havoc on the Seven Seas. The friends must navigate through dangerous waters to confront infamous Chinese pirate Sao Feng. Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of action/adventure violence and some frightening images, running time 165 minutes. Starts Thursday. (Cape West Cine)

'Shrek the Third'

Starring the voices of Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, Antonio Banderas and Julie Andrews. When Shrek married Fiona, the last thing he had in mind was becoming the next king. But when Shrek's father-in-law, King Harold, suddenly dies, that is exactly what he faces. Unless Shrek (with the help of his trusted companions Donkey and Puss In Boots) can find a suitable king for Far Far Away, the ogre could be stuck with the job. Rated PG for some crude humor, suggestive content and swashbuckling action, running times 95 minuts. (Cape West Cine)

'28 Weeks Later'

Starring Robert Carlyle, Rose Byrne, Jeremy Renner, Harold Perrineau Jr. and Catherine McCormack. Six months have passed since the rage virus has annihilated the British Isles. The U.S. Army declares that the war against infection has been won, and that the reconstruction of the country can begin. As the first wave of refugees return, a family is reunited -- but one of them unwittingly carries a terrible secret. The virus is not yet dead, and this time -- showing no outward symptoms -- it is more dangerous than ever. 'Blades of Glory'

Two disgraced Olympic ice skaters banned from the sport because of drug use find a way to sneak back into the competition. 'Delta Farce'

Starring Larry the Cable Guy, Bill Engvall, D.J. Qualls, Keith David and Danny Trejo. Three buddies set out on a relaxing weekend of drinking and target practice, when a sergeant mistakes them for Army Reservists. The three men are deployed to Iraq, but a premature ejection lands them in Mexico. Believing they are in the Middle East, the bogus soldiers save a village from local bandits and become local heroes, until a karaoke-loving warlord decides he's had enough of these wannabes. Rated PG-13 for crude and sexual humor, running time 90 minutes. (Cape West Cine)

'Disturbia'

Starring Shia LaBeouf, Sarah Roemer, Carrie-Anne Moss, David Morse and Aaron Yoo. Distressed by his father's untimely death, a teenager (Shia LaBeouf) begins acting out and soon finds himself under house arrest after getting into trouble one too many times. To help pass the time stuck indoors, he begins spying on his neighbors, only to become convinced that the guy living across the street is killing young women. Rated PG-13 sequences of terror and violence and for some sexuality, running time 103 minutes. (Cape West Cine)

'The Ex'

Starring Zach Braff, Amanda Peet, Jason Bateman and Charles Grodin. Tom Reilly is a chronic underachiever, but his wife Sofia, a high-powered lawyer, is happy to support them both. That all changes when she becomes pregnant with their first child and decides to be a stay-at-home mother. Unfortunately, Tom has been fired recently and must go to work for his father-in-law in order to support his growing family. While he clashes with his co-workers, Sofia finds that her new life is not what she expected. Rated PG-13 for sexual content, brief language and a drug reference, running time 92 minutes. 'Fracture'

Starring Anthony Hopkins, David Strathairn, Ryan Gosling, Billy Burke, Rosamund Pike and Embeth Davidtz. The good news: The man who killed his wife confesses instantly, seemingly making a young assistant district attorney's life much easier. The bad news: The arresting police officer was having an affair with the dead wife, which complicates matters a wee bit, especially since there's no evidence that the murderer even did the job. Rated R for language and some violent content, running time 112 minutes. (Cape West Cine)

'Georgia Rule'

Starring Jane Fonda, Lindsay Lohan, Felicity Huffman, Dermot Mulroney, Garrett Hedlund and Cary Elwes. Teenage Rachel is a real thorn in the side of Lily, her mother. More than just a rebellious youth, Rachel is downright uncontrollable. After Rachel crashes a car, Lily decides to haul the girl off to a place to which she vowed never to return: Her own mother's Idaho farm. Georgia, the family matriarch, lives by a strict code and expects all under her roof to do the same. But given structure and purpose, Rachel's anger at the world begins to soften. Rated R for sexual content and some language, running time 115 minutes. (Cape West Cine)

'The Invisible'

Starring Justin Chatwin, Marcia Gay Harden, Maggie Ma, Michelle Harrison, Chris Marquette and Margarita Levieva. Nick Powell is just your average, ordinary teenager, until one night when he's brutally attacked by a mysterious assailant and left for dead. With his soul caught between the afterlife and the living world, an invisible Nick must solve the mystery of what happened to him before he dies. Rated PG-13 for violence, criminality, sensuality and language. running time 97 minutes. (Cape West Cine)

'Meet the Robinsons'

Starring the voices of Angela Bassett, Daniel Hansen, Wesley Singerman, Spencer Fox, Adam West and Tom Selleck. Twelve-year-old Lewis, a born inventor, is also an orphan who desperately wants to find his birth family. A mysterious stranger, Wilbur Robinson, claims he can take Lewis to meet them. 'Spider-Man 3'

Starring Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, Thomas Haden Church, Topher Grace, James Franco and Dylan Baker. Having settled into his relationship with M.J. and come to terms with being Spider-Man, Peter Parker is one happy fellow. But not for long. Soon, his love life is complicated by an old flame, Gwen Stacy; two new baddies are on his tail; and Harry Osborn suffers some seriously conflicted feelings about his old pal and a potential secret identity. 'Wild Hogs'

Starring John Travolta, Tim Allen, Martin Lawrence, William H. Macy and Tichina Arnold. Four middle-aged friends decide to rev up their routine suburban lives with a freewheeling motorcycle trip. Rated PG-13 for crude and sexual content and some violence, running time 100 minutes. (Cape West Cine)
