Dorothy Hodgkiss Cline, 74, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, May 21, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was born Dec. 7, 1932, in Sikeston, Mo., daughter of Charles Thomas and Ella Mae Johnson. She first married William Leroy Hodgkiss Aug. 21, 1948. He died April 22, 1988. She later married Kenneth Cline on July 26, 1983, in Sikeston. He died April 27, 1994...

Dorothy Hodgkiss Cline, 74, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, May 21, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Dec. 7, 1932, in Sikeston, Mo., daughter of Charles Thomas and Ella Mae Johnson. She first married William Leroy Hodgkiss Aug. 21, 1948. He died April 22, 1988. She later married Kenneth Cline on July 26, 1983, in Sikeston. He died April 27, 1994.

Cline had been a cook at the War Drum Restaurant, and retired from Brown Shoe, both in Sikeston. She attended Hanover Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two sons, Roy Hodgkiss and Mike (Sharon) Hodgkiss of Sikeston; two daughters, Sharon Noah and Debbie (Lynn) Petzoldt of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, William Johnson of Centerville, Iowa, Bob Johnson of Malta, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Ray and Dennis Lee Hodgkiss; a brother and three sisters.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton, Mo.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Daniel Hackney officiating. Burial will be in Unity Baptist Cemetery at Benton.

Pallbearers will be Darrin Pruitt, Chris Hodgkiss, Roy Hodgkiss Jr., Kenneth Hodgkiss II, Rob Petzoldt and Matt Petzoldt.
