CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Jerald "Jerry" Washer, 55, of Charleston died Friday, Oct. 3, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

He was born March 22, 1948, in Wyatt, Mo., son of Charles Pope and Mattie Lou Barber Washer.

Washer had lived in Mississippi County most of his life, and was a deckhand.

Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey Washer of Moberly, Mo., Charles Washer of state of Pennsylvania; four daughters, Dana Woods of Risco, Mo., Ceshia Fish of Lyons, Ga., Mattisa Dumas of Savannah, Ga., Lacey Washer of Orange Park, Fla.; three brothers, Donald Patterson of Sacramento, Calif., Harvey Washer of Benton, Mo., Doug Washer of Independence, Mo.; a sister, Connie Damron of Thebes, Ill.; and six grandchildren.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston at noon today.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. today at IOOF Cemetery, with the Rev. Loy Miller officiating.
