Helen A. Meyer, 92, of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2003, at The Lutheran Home.

She was born March 14, 1911, at Cape Girardeau, daughter of Julius Henry and Lulu Windeknecht Meyer.

Meyer was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Cape Girardeau. She was a member of Hanover Lutheran Church and a former member of the drama club there.

Survivors include a sister, Marie Heise of Egypt Mills; a sister-in-law, Ruby M. Meyer of Cape Girardeau; two nieces, Shirley Ann Roth of Cape Girardeau and Carolyn Sue Heise of Egypt Mills; two nephews, Harry G. Heise Jr. of Egypt Mills and Richard M. Meyer of Cape Girardeau; several great-nieces and nephews and cousins.

Meyers was preceded in death by two brothers, Emil J. Meyer who died in 2001 and Martin F. Meyer who died in 1987.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to the time of the service Monday at Hanover Lutheran Church.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Daniel Hackney officiating. Burial will be in Hanover Lutheran Church Cemetery, Cape Girardeau.

Memoral contributions may be made to the Hanover Lutheran Church Building Fund or The Lutheran Home.
