Arrests; Burglary

Cape Girardeau

The following items were released by the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

  • Jimmy Lee Bell, 57, of 233 N. Ellis St., Amanda Rose Backfisch, 26, of Chaffee, Mo., and Marianne Porter, 45, of 836 N. Sprigg St., Apt. 1, were arrested on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • John J. Scarborough, 35, of 2823 Luce St., was arrested on suspicion of domestic assault, endangering the welfare of a child and assault.
  • Jason F. Rollins, 30, of St. Louis was arrested on suspicion of driving with a suspended license and speeding.
  • Jonathan L. Jenkins, 29, of 329 S. Sprigg St., was arrested on a parole violation warrant.

Thefts

  • Flori Heating and Cooling, 1905 Rust St., reported trailers stolen.
  • Rhodes 101, 1126 N. Sprigg St., reported gasoline stolen.
  • Rhodes 101, 1624 N. Kingshighway, reported three thefts of gasoline.

Property damage

  • A car dashboard was reported damaged at 1410 S. Sprigg St. A CD player and radio were reported stolen in the incident.

Assault

  • A second-degree assault was reported.

Burglaries

  • Door locks and a window were reported broken and a side door was reported damaged in a burglary at 613 N. Mount Auburn Road. Jewelry and various items were reported stolen in the incident.
  • Rent One, 610 S. Kingshighway, reported a burglary. A glass door entry and televisions were reported stolen in the incident.

Summonses

  • Brandon E. Polk, 26, of 115 N. Fountain St., received a summons for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Christopher D. Wright, 19, of Scott City, received a summons for a noise violation.
  • Sulayman K. Moore, 28, of 45 N. Hanover St., received a summons for a noise violation.
  • Dixie J. Fowler, of Delta received a summons for failure to yield after a motor vehicle accident at Mount Auburn Road and Perry Avenue.

Miscellaneous

  • A peace disturbance by fighting in public was reported.
  • A red and blue bicycle was reported found at Starwood Drive and Perryville Road.
  • A 53-year-old woman was taken into protective custody.
  • A blue bicycle was reported found at 2548 Ford Drive.
  • Statutory rape was reported.
  • Harassment was reported.

Jackson

The Jackson Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Burglary

  • A burglary was reported in the 3000 block of East Jackson Boulevard.

Summons

  • Lindsey L. Robison, 20, of Jackson received a summons for failure to stop for a red light.

Theft

  • Fuel was reported stolen in the 900 block of West Independence Street.

Property damage

  • Property damage was reported in the 3000 block of Breckenridge Drive.

Miscellaneous

  • A peace disturbance was reported in the 300 block of South Georgia Street.
  • A peace disturbance was reported on Parkview Street.
  • Tampering was reported in the 700 block of Wedge Lane.
  • Property was reported found in the 100 block of Court Street.
