Jean Mayhew, age 53, of Jackson passed away Saturday, June 2, 2007, at her home in Jackson.
She was born Dec. 15, 1953, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of the late Stanley C. and Ruby I. McCain Hunsaker. She and Jim Mayhew were married March 26, 2005, in Jackson. He survives.
Jean had attended Cape Gir­ar­deau Central High School. She worked 10 years for the VNA in the Jackson community. Due to her illness she was forced to quit working nine months ago.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Scott McClanahan of Jackson, Chris McClanahan and fiancée Melissa of Jackson, and Joey Buseiglio of Jackson; a daughter, Amy Dambach and husband Marc of Jackson; five grandchildren, Brittany, Sydney, Makayla, Daisy and Benjamin; three brothers, Bob Payne of Sedgewickville, Mo., Danny Dyer of Green Bay, Wis., and Donny Hunsaker of Jackson; five sisters, Judy Bohannon of Burton, Ohio, Diana Simms and Betty Umfleet of Cape Girardeau, and Patty Park and Peggy Fiedler of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Shailyn and Shayden.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at the funeral home with the Rev. Raymond Oxford officiating.
Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery.
