Virginia L. Sides Smith, 44, of Alto Pass, Ill., died Sunday, June 3, 2007, at her home near Alto Pass, Ill.

She was born Jan. 6, 1963, at Carrollton, Ill., daughter of Ezra and Mary Lewis Sides. She and Kenny A. Smith were married Sept. 7, 1999, at Paducah, Ky.

Smith was assistant fiscal manager at Union County Couseling Service in Anna, Ill.

Survivors include her husband; two brothers, Larry Sides of Dresden, Tenn., Wayne Sides of Bethalto, Ill.; four sisters, Edna Scheibel of Bloomfield, Mo., Jenny Jennings of Bell City, Mo., Kathy Ehlers of Murphysboro, Ill., and Sue McMichael of Marseilles, Ill.

Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at Lutz & Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Mary McMahan will officiate. Smith's wishes were to be cremated.
