CAIRO, Ill. --Marian D. Hurley, 78, of Mounds, Ill., died Saturday, June 2, 2007, at Daystar Care Center in Cairo, Ill.
She was born Aug. 28, 1928, at Cairo, Mo., daughter of George J. and Doris Bucher Klein.
Hurley was a receptionist for Dr. Gillespie's dental office for many years before her retirement. She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Mound City, Ill., a former member of St. Patricks Church in Cairo, Ill., and was also a member of St. Marys Sodality.
Survivors include three stepdaughters, Harriet Mize of Carterville, Ill., Elaine Clanahan of Mound City, and Florence McCue of Springfield, Ill.; two stepsons, Stephen Joyner of Washington, D.C., and Butch Hurley of Detroit; two brothers, Karl H. Klein of Cairo, Ill., and Howard Klein of Austin, Texas; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Harry C. Joyner and Riley R. Hurley; a stepdaughter, Pat Lewis; a sister, Karolyn Carr; and four brothers, George, John, Bill and Ed Klein.
Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo, Ill.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Cairo, Ill. The Rev. Bill McGhee will officiate, with burial in Calvary Cemetery in Villa Ridge, Ill.
