Joe Wilbert Haley, 76, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, May 31, 2007, at Heartland Care and Rehab. He was born July 26, 1930, in Tiptonville, Tenn., son of Austin and Susie Lucas Haley. Survivors include three sons, David Johnson of Murphysboro, Ill., Larry Haley of Flint, Mich., Bobby Haley of Sikeston, Mo.; two daughters, Sylvia Haley of Dyersburg, Tenn., Carolyn Swanks of Carbondale, Ill.; three brothers, Cletus Haley of Sikeston, Austin Haley of Cape Girardeau, J.L. ...

Joe Wilbert Haley, 76, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, May 31, 2007, at Heartland Care and Rehab.

He was born July 26, 1930, in Tiptonville, Tenn., son of Austin and Susie Lucas Haley.

Survivors include three sons, David Johnson of Murphysboro, Ill., Larry Haley of Flint, Mich., Bobby Haley of Sikeston, Mo.; two daughters, Sylvia Haley of Dyersburg, Tenn., Carolyn Swanks of Carbondale, Ill.; three brothers, Cletus Haley of Sikeston, Austin Haley of Cape Girardeau, J.L. Lucas of Moberly, Mo.; three sisters, Bernice Flye of Sikeston, Erma Walker of Cape Girardeau, Janet Miller of Los Angeles; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter and three sisters.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. today at Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston, Mo. The Rev. Johnny Thomas will officiate.

Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
