Harriette Myers needed two playoff holes, but the two-time defending SEMO Women's Golf Association Tournament stroke-play champion won her third consecutive title Tuesday at Dalhousie Golf Club.

Myers, playing for Dalhousie, parred the second playoff hole -- the par 5 No. 2 -- to defeat Janice Hoffman of Hidden Trails Country Club (Dexter). Both players had parred the first playoff hole after finishing the 18 holes of regulation play tied at 81.

Joe Billings of Kennett Country Club placed third at 84 while Robyn Young of Cape Girardeau Country Club was fourth at 86.

Dalhousie, which was hosting the 54th edition of the tournament for the first time, won the team traveling trophies for low gross and low net. Myers combined with fellow Dalhousie members Jennifer Coad, Alice Temm and Terri Parmly for a 353 gross total. The club, which also won both team trophies in 2004, had the low net (handicap) score of 293, which was turned in by Parmly, Temm, Linda Tewis and Deanna Estes.

Kimbeland Country Club of Jackson, the defending low-gross champion, placed second with a gross total of 366 and net score of 309.

Seventy-five women from nine area clubs competed in the event.

Other flight winners were Alice Temm (89, AA flight), Shiela Cunningham (93, A flight), Terri Parmly (95, B flight) and Virginia Watkins (105, C flight).

Closest-to-the-hole winners were Anita Jo Brogdon (No. 5), Shiela Cunningham (No. 8), Susan Vickery (No. 11) and Marla McLane (No. 13).
