Park Hills Central (3-2) at Scott City (2-3)

Last week: Scott City 55, Chaffee 14; Park Hills Central 7, Orchard Farm 0

Last year: Park Hills Central 48, Scott City 14

Notes: The Rams' offense has been impressive over the last six quarters by posting more than 600 yards, but the Rams will have to prove they can play four quarters against a legitimate opponent. Park Hills Central's offense has not scored more than 18 points in a game but allows only 13 points a game. Scott City's defensive line will have to step up with the Rebels sending out two capable backs. Sam Lawson led the team in rushing the first two games by averaging nearly 100 yards, and Donald Williams has led the Rebels the last three games, also averaging almost 100 yards. For Scott City, Matt Schaefer is coming off a career-best 221 yards against Chaffee and has rushed for nearly 700 yards through five games.Chaffee (0-5) at East Prairie (2-2)

Last week: Scott City 55, Chaffee 14; East Prairie idle

Last year: Chaffee 20, East Prairie 6

Notes: The Eagles have a pair of power backs and can keep opponents off balance with speedy freshman Paris Tipler. Brent Harland and Josh Boyer do the bulk of East Prairie's running and could cause the undersized Red Devils problems. Chaffee will have to keep turnovers down after turning the ball over five times against Scott City. Hillsboro (0-5) at Perryville (1-4)

Last week: Perryville 48, Windsor 35; North County 54, Hillsboro 32

Last year: Hillsboro 39, Perryville 0

Notes: Perryville's continued improvement hit a high spot last week with a big win over Windsor, new coach Rick Chastain's first since rejoining the team this season. Matt Unterreiner could give a hapless Hillsboro defense problems with his play-making ability. Unterreiner rushed for 166 yards last week and scored on a pair of long kickoff returns.

Saturday

Caruthersville (4-1) at St. Vincent (3-2)

Last week: St. Vincent 24, St. Pius 6; Caruthersville 34, NMCC 30

Last year: St. Vincent 34, Caruthersville 6

Notes: With the help of running back Jimmy Jackson, Caruthersville has been one of the biggest surprises this season. The Tigers have not scored less than 21 points in a game this season. St. Vincent has not allowed an opponent more than 17 points. Jackson averages over 10 yards a carry and will give the Indians all they can handle. St. Vincent has yet to play an explosive offense this season and will have to adjust to the Tigers' high tempo.
