Terry Wayne Miller, 65, of Thomaston, Ga., died Thursday, June 21, 2007, at his home. He was born Feb. 4, 1942, in Cape Girardeau, son of George and Mary Miller. Mr. Miller was formerly employed with GaDOT, where he worked in the right-of-way department 34 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and the U.S. Team Roping Association. He will be greatly missed by Indian, his faithful horse of 22 years...

Terry Wayne Miller, 65, of Thomaston, Ga., died Thursday, June 21, 2007, at his home.

He was born Feb. 4, 1942, in Cape Girardeau, son of George and Mary Miller.

Mr. Miller was formerly employed with GaDOT, where he worked in the right-of-way department 34 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and the U.S. Team Roping Association. He will be greatly missed by Indian, his faithful horse of 22 years.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Miller; a daughter, Jennifer (Eric) Scarborough of Lizella, Ga.; two sons, Jedediah Cote (Brandi) of Lizella, Christopher Warren of Atlanta; a brother, Lynn (Becki) Miller of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Vicki (R.J.) McKinney and Jill (Halbert) Mitchell, both of Cape Girardeau; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Coggins Funeral Home in Thomaston.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Thomaston, with the Rev. Charles Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park in Macon, Ga.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 135-B Bradford Square, Fayetteville, Ga., 30215.
