Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd T. Niswonger of Cape Girardeau celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary June 17, 2007, with a surprise reception at their home. Hosts were their children.

Niswonger and Lois L. Welch were married June 15, 1947, at Grace Methodist Church, by the Rev. P.A. Kasey.

He retired from Missouri State Highway Department, after 42 years of service. Mrs. Niswonger retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance Co.

They have two children, Michael Niswonger and Amy (Kevin) Cain; and two grandchildren, Justin (Carrie) Cain and Rachel Cain, all of Cape Girardeau.
