Bernice G. Dahmus, 79, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, June 23, 2007, at her home.

She was born Nov. 23, 1927, in Uniontown, Mo., daughter of Julius Martin and Josephine Martha Kasten Tanz. She and Theodore Joseph Dahmus were married July 16, 1949, in Uniontown. He died Sept. 22, 1989.

Dahmus was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau. She had worked at various nursing homes in the area.

Survivors include two daughters, Diane Dahmus of Cape Gir­ar­deau, Susan Miles of Collinsville, Ill.; a sister, Sarah Heuschober of Cape Girardeau; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Douglas C. Breite officiating.

Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park at Cape Gir­ar­deau.
