To the editor: I'll be blunt as a spoon here. Our governor's latest attempt to block our concealed-carry law is at best one of the more blatant acts of sour grapes I have seen in a while. When will Gov. Bob Holden give up? He lost. The law-abiding citizens won. Drop it and get on with life. What is it with this administration's fascination with the mundane? There are larger issues to address in this state...

I'll be blunt as a spoon here. Our governor's latest attempt to block our concealed-carry law is at best one of the more blatant acts of sour grapes I have seen in a while. When will Gov. Bob Holden give up? He lost. The law-abiding citizens won. Drop it and get on with life. What is it with this administration's fascination with the mundane? There are larger issues to address in this state.

To be honest, the anti-gun community is complaining about a violation of the Bill of Rights. Here is a clue for them: We violated a whole bunch of laws in the election of 2000. Remember keeping the polls open for two extra hours. Where were these same people then?

If Jim Talent were our governor, this would not have been an issue. How soon Holden forgets what laws were violated to get his job. I will be frankly glad to see Holden booted out of office here in a few months -- unless they decide to violate laws again and we have to put up with him for another four years.
