UNIONTOWN, Mo. -- Gilmer Paul Hemmann, 83, of Uniontown died Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 30, 1923, at Old Appleton, Mo., son of Benjamin Carl and Hulda Elizabeth Frede Hemmann. He and Wilburta A. Schrader were married Oct. 16, 1954,
Hemmann had worked at Kasten Brick in Jackson, and was a custodian 10 years with Oak Ridge School District. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and former member of its finance board.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Paul Hemmann of St. Louis, Steven Hemmann of Columbia, Mo., Daniel Hemmann of Shawneetown, Mo.; three daughters, Betty Buchheit of Columbia, Donna Roth of Farrar, Mo., Julia Sheets of St. Louis; a sister, Alice Hacker of Perryville; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Paul Winningham officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
