Woman pleads guilty to conspiracy charges

Amanda Lindsey, 26, of Jonesboro, Ill., pleaded guilty to one count of felony conspiracy to commit armed robbery and one count of felony conspiracy to commit armed battery Tuesday, according to a news release from the office of Union County State's Attorney Allen W. James. Lindsey, and co-defendants Joshua Parker, Derrick McReynolds, Steven Smith and Ashley Sullivan, were charged in the May 8 beating and attempted robbery of Roy Easton. Lindsey was sentenced to six years in prison and a three-year supervised release. Lindsey will serve at least 85 percent of her sentence in accordance with Illinois' Truth in Sentencing Act. Her sentence also orders her to pay court costs and testify against any co-conspirators.
