Cook, Glastetter team for first place

Lachelle Cook and Darren "Beaver" Glastetter teamed up to take first place in the Southeast Missouri Horseshoe Association's 11-team event at the Oran Jaycees on Saturday.

Randy Senciboy and Terrie Rose took second place. Danny Williams and Kory Kluesner finished in third.

Cori Stoverink and Bob Burnett took first place Sunday in the 15-team event at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Jackson.

Carolyn Schreckenburg and Joe Keller took second place. Virgil Schreckenburg and Amy Probst were third.

The next tournaments will be held July 1 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Leopold and July 4 at the Oran Knights of Columbus picnic in Oran. Both tournaments begin at 1 p.m.

Burnett earns another golf victory

Sissy Burnett finished in first place in the A-flight at the Cape Chip-A-Ways golf outing Tuesday.

Sharon Dow and Clara Schafer tied for first place in the B-flight.

The C-flight had a three-way tie for first place between Lois Tweedy, Bev Wink and Jeana Koch.

Low putts went to Carolyn Blechle and the play of the day went to Jo Ellen Haas.
