MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- James Ellison Jr., 80, of Marble Hill died Monday, July 9, 2007, at Elder Care of Marble Hill.

He was born Jan. 19, 1927, in Grand Tower, Ill., son of James and Grace Stricklan Ellison.

Ellison was an herbalist.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include an aunt, Della Wilson of Grand Tower.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield. Military rites will be conducted by the Military Honors Team.
