I left this move with the same reaction as the first time I watched "O Brother, Wherefore Art Thou?" The characters were so bizarre I just kind of sat there going "Huh?" with some kind of glazed look on my face.

"O Brother" was so corny I kept thinking, "God, how stupid" the first time I watched it. But now that I've watched it several times I really enjoy the insanity of the film and actually bought a copy.

So only if you like George Clooney in his "Brother" movie will you like this film. The cast includes some of the best: Catherine Zeta-Jones, Clooney and Billy Bob Thornton.

This movie isn't for everyone. I'm not sure If I had a good time. I'll have to watch it again at home on DVD to figure out if I really liked it or not.

"Intolerable Cruelty," the new film by the Coen Brothers, ranks with some of their vintage work like "Blood Simple" and "Miller's Crossing." It is cleverly written and has flashes of the mean sense of humor I have always been a fan of. One character is killed off in an ironic way that I love.

Catherine Zeta-Jones does not seem to have great acting range, except for some of her scenes in this movie, but who cares? She could just stand there and silently fill up the camera for all I care. George Clooney's performance reminds me of his work in another Coen movie, "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" Look for a great double take he gives while cross-examining Jones' character.

Cedric the Entertainer, whom I am partial to, practically had only one line, but it was a catch phrase that had me laughing every time I heard it.

Two-and-a-half stars (out of 4)

I was expecting the worst when this movie started, but by the end I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that it wasn't a total train wreck. George Clooney is very funny in his role as divorce attorney extraordinaire Miles Massey, and the supporting cast of lesser-known actors deliver solid and entertaining performances. Even Cedric the Entertainer, who I normally can't stomach, is good for a couple of yuks.

Now for the most important part. Three words: Catherine Zeta-Jones. That's all that really matters. Women this hot don't exist in reality. I could watch a movie about carpet cleaning in Kuwait as long as she was in it. She is mind-crushingly gorgeous and seductive.

Overall, I guess this movie is worth seeing if you have an open afternoon, but don't cancel any plans. I'd wait for the DVD.
