Earl A. Bisher, 69, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003, at his residence.

He was born July 31, 1934, at Oran, Mo., son of Joseph and Annie Baudendistal Bisher. He and Shirley Blechle were married July 8, 1961, at Cape Girar-deau.

Bisher attended St. Mary Cathedral in Cape Girardeau. He worked for Union Electric and Ameren UE for 32 years and served in the U.S. Army until 1961. Bisher was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Guardian Angel Council in Oran, Mo., the Veterans Club of Ameren UE, VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau and Cursillo.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Bruce Bisher of Jefferson City, Mo.; a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Darren Davis of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Gena Bisher of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Rita Witges of Scheller, Ill.; three brothers, Simon Bisher of Cape Girar-deau, Ferdinand Bisher of Saxton, Penn., and Joe Bisher of St. Louis; two grandchildren, Christine and Ryan Davis of Cape Girardeau; a special aunt, Rena Propst of Cape Girardeau; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Cathedral. The Rev. Richard Rolwing will officiate, with burial in St. Mary Cemetery in Cape Girardeau. Graveside military rites will be performed by VFW Post 3838.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Grade School.
