Southeast golfers place 10th at SMS event

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. --Southeast's golf team was 10th with a two-day total score of 943 on Tuesday.

Southeast's Matt Hillis tied for 35th, Brandon Couch tied for 42nd, Brian Sheehan was 53rd, Mark Schmitz tied for 61st and Kent Phillips was 66th.

Enderly wins bass club event on Ohio River

Rodney Enderly of Jackson took top honors for his limit of bass caught during the Bass Busters of SEMO bass tournament Saturday on the Ohio River. He caught his fish using a Bandit Crankbait and Carolina Rigged Southern Pro Tube fish in a main river wooded flats pattern four to six feet deep.

Mike Woods of Jackson took second place, also fishing main river flats with a teeny shallow-R crankbait.

Brad Noel of Jackson took the Big Bass Award for the fish he caught flipping a Southern Pro Tube to shallow wood cover in the creeks.

Conditions were sunny and 70 degrees with water at 64.
