Central (6-2) at Perryville (3-5)
Last week: Central 44, Sikeston 19; Poplar Bluff 35, Perryville 14
Last season: Central 29, Perryville 14
Notes: The Tigers are coming off one of their strongest games of the season after struggling the previous three weeks. Running back Brandon Twiggs gave Central's running game a boost with a 63-yard run on Central's first offensive play and finished with 138 yards on 13 carries. Mitch Craf has three consecutive 200-yard games. Perryville's top offensive threat for most of the season, Matt Unterreiner, was held to 44 yards against Poplar Bluff. Parkway West (1-7) at Jackson (4-3)
Last week: Jackson 34, Parkway Central 28; Francis Howell 28, Parkway West 7
Last season: Parkway West 22, Jackson 7
Notes: Jackson will be flying high this week after one of its most impressive comebacks in recent years. Jason Meystedt has brought Jackson's dormant running game to life the past few weeks with big running performances three weeks in a row. Facing a struggling Parkway West team, Jackson will look to set up a possible district showdown with Francis Howell on Nov. 7. The Indians used both quarterbacks extensively against Parkway Central, but Marc Lumsden led the Indians to the win by going 6-for-6 down the stretch. Scott City (3-5) at Crystal City (5-3)
Last week: Scott City 45, Grandview 14; Crystal City 26, Charleston 14
Last season: Scott City 29, Crystal City 22 (OT)
Notes: Scott City righted itself with a big win Friday. Matt Schaefer rushed for 208 yards to put himself over 1,000 yards for the season. Scott City is coming off one of its most productive games offensively. Schaefer and quarterback Luke McClellan each had over 200 yards for only the second time this season. St. Vincent (5-3) at Chaffee (0-8)
Last week: St. Vincent 27, Hayti 0; Valle 55, Chaffee 7
Last season: St. Vincent 42, Chaffee 7
Notes: St. Vincent is coming off a win over district favorite Hayti and will look to stay healthy as they prepare for a chance to clinch the district with a win over Valle in the finale. Chaffee has allowed over 40 points in its last seven games and has not won a district game since 1998.
