Gary Dover

Gary L. Dover, 67, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, July 27, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born July 15, 1940, in Jonesboro, Ill., son of Raymond and Verda Meisenheimer Dover. He and Bonnie Michelson were married Dec. 27, 1974, in Cape Girardeau.

Dover was a heavy equipment operator many years with Operators Union 513, retiring in 2002. He was of the Protestant faith.

He served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Dover of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Ray Dover of Cape Gir-ardeau, Eddie Crader of Scott City; five daughters, Dianna Dover of Florida, Gina George of St. Louis, Debbie D'Elia of Oregon, Elizabeth Simpkins and Holly Dover of St. Louis; two brothers, Collin Dover of Dexter, Mo., Eldon Dover of Scott City; a sister, Mary Sprenger of Las Vegas; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

A private memorial service will be held.
