Jill Rhodes

Jill Ann Rhodes, 64, of Jackson died Friday, Oct. 31, 2003, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 2, 1939, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of James and Flora Fox Abernathy. She married Terry Cora and later married Lester Rhodes. They preceded her in death.

She had worked at the Thorngate factory and its outlet in Cape Girardeau prior to suffering a stroke in 1991. She previously attended Red Star Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. She had lived at Jackson Manor Nursing Home since 1996.

Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Michaud of Las Vegas, Nev. and Amy McFall of Lowndes, Mo.; three sisters, Catherine Pulliam of Cape Girardeau; Jewel Mitchell of Mounds, Ill., Fannie Farrow of Pocahontas, Mo.; a brother, James Reed of Cape Girardeau; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

Friends may call Monday after 11 a.m. at New Bethel Church near Pocahontas. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. at the church, with the Rev. Jack Rodgers and John Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
