ANNA, Ill. -- Mildred L. Shepard, 84, of Anna died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007, at the City Care Center in Anna. She was born May 19, 1923, in Union County, Ill., daughter of Alfred and Myrtle Bloodworth. She and Lynn Shepard were married Aug. 19, 1939, at Jackson, Mo. He died Feb. 21, 1986...

ANNA, Ill. -- Mildred L. Shepard, 84, of Anna died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007, at the City Care Center in Anna.

She was born May 19, 1923, in Union County, Ill., daughter of Alfred and Myrtle Bloodworth. She and Lynn Shepard were married Aug. 19, 1939, at Jackson, Mo. He died Feb. 21, 1986.

Survivors include two sons, Conrad Shepard of Jonesboro, Ill., Jack Shepard of Ullin, Ill.; five daughters, Nancy Sadler of Trenton, Ill., Judy Theis of Anna; Kathryn Charles of Whitesville, Ky., Emily Wiseman and Wanda Ames, both of Dongola, Ill.; two brothers, James Bloodworth of Freemont, N.C., Harold Bloodworth of Farmington, Mo.; a sister, Rosie Smith of Anna; 22 grandchildren; and 46 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna. Funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in McGinnis Cemetery.
