More than 150 cars and trucks, some from as far away as St. Louis and Memphis, Tenn., will be showing off at the River City Rodders Car Club 30th annual car show Sept. 16. The show, also sponsored by Old Town Cape, has changed its venue from Capaha Park to the downtown parking lot across from Hutson's Fine Furniture on South Main Street to take advantage of the development and activity offered downtown.

Car show enthusiasts can make a day of it with visits to The Red House, the Glenn House and Old St. Vincent's Church. Several restaurants and shops that ordinarily are not open Sundays will also be open that day.

"We were excited to join with the Rodders to bring their established car show to the downtown area," Old Town Cape executive director Marla Mills said. "This is a great opportunity for free family activity and fun for everyone. It is the perfect event to be in our downtown and we were happy to join the event as a co-sponsor."
