Basement sale from 7 a.m. to noon at West Side Church of God in Cape Girardeau. The sale is a fund-raising event for the youth department.

United Methodist Men at Hobbs Chapel will meet for breakfast at 7:30 a.m.

Bishop John J. Leibrecht of the Springfield-Cape Girardeau Diocese will celebrate Mass at 6 p.m. at St. John's Church in Leopold. Forty teenagers and one adult will be presented for confirmation.

Shiloh Baptist Church in Villa Ridge, Ill., will host a gospel sing at 7 p.m. with the Gloryroad Travelers and the Moreheads. For information, call (618) 995-2306.

Cape Church of God will hold revival at 7 p.m. with evangelist Sandra Redfearn of "I Choose Life" Ministries.

Sunday

Bishop John J. Leibrecht of the Springfield-Cape Girardeau Diocese will celebrate Mass at 8 and 10 a.m. at St. John's Church in Leopold. At the later service, 32 candidates will be presented for confirmation.

Cape Church of God will hold revival at 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. with evangelist Sandra Redfearn of "I Choose Life" Ministries.

Festival of carols and Advent lessons at 3 p.m. at Old St. Vincent's Church in downtown Cape Girardeau. The choirs of First Presbyterian and Christ Episcopal churches will peform, along with music by Voce Festiva.

Festival of lessons and carols at 4 p.m. at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau. There will be special anthems, Christmas carols and readings for the Advent season.

International missions festival at 5 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. The church's lower auditorium will be set up as a Balkan coffee shop.

Monday

Cape Girardeau County Christian Women's Club meets at 11 a.m. at Delmonico's in Jackson. Speaker is Verda Lockhart of O'Fallon, Mo.

Tuesday

Christmas Tea for the ladies of First Presbyterian Church at 1 p.m. in the multipurpose room at Chateau Girardeau. Program is Christmas at the Farmington Children's Home.

Friday

Family Gospel Night concert with the Singing C's from Camden, Tenn., at 7:30 p.m. in the Shawnee Community College Educational Center in Ullin, Ill. Admission is $5 at the door.
