William J. Clark, 84, of San Angelo, Texas, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003, at his home.

He was born Sept. 17, 1919, in Cape Girardeau, son of James and Zora Leftridge Clark. He married Juanita DeClue.

Clark was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was formerly of Bonne Terre, Mo.

Survivors include three daughters, Belinda Ache of Park Hills, Mo., Mary Gilpatrick of Heber Springs, Ark., Virginia Lavigueure of Arlington, Va.; four sons, Dennis Clark of Snyder, Texas, Glenn Clark of Rome, Ga., Jim Clark of San Angelo, Ervin Sansoucie of Potosi, Mo.; two sisters, Frieda Kelly of Scott City, Rose Gentry; a brother, Ray Mayo of Tennessee; 34 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife and a daughter.

Friends may call at C.Z. Boyer Funeral Home in Desloge, Mo., after 10 a.m. Monday.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Dennis Clark and James Clark officiating. Burial will be in Germania Cemetery at Bonne Terre.
