Frances Groves

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Frances Lucille Groves, 80, of Bertrand died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, at Bertrand Nursing Facility.

She was born Oct. 8, 1923, in Mississippi County, daughter of William Carter and Althea Singleton Groves.

Groves had been a nurses aide at Bertrand Nursing Facility. She was a member of Cornerstone General Baptist Church.

Survivors include two brothers, W.C. "Dub" Groves of Bertrand, Billy Groves of Farmington, Mo.; and a sister, Ola McClanahan of Sikeston.

She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo., from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Cullen officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
