Carlton-Brown

Michelle Ann Carlton and Gary Lee Brown were married Sept. 20, 2003, at Fruitland Community Church. Mike Parry performed the ceremony. Pianist was Sandy Boston of Thebes, Ill.

Roger and Debbie Carlton of Jackson are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Jeff and Karen Roth and Scott and Melanie Brown, all of Jackson.

Tara Bowen of Jackson was maid of honor. Matron of honor was Rachael Carlton of Jackson, sister-in-law of the bride. Bridesmaids were Lisa Busche of Jackson, aunt of the bride; Ashley Brown of Jackson, sister of the groom; and Taylor McMillan of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride.

Best men were David Brown and Lynn Carlton, brother of the bride, both of Jackson. Groomsmen were Bob Green of Jackson; Shannon McDaniel of Tamms, Ill., cousin of the groom; and Jacob Busche of Jackson, cousin of the bride. Ushers were Joshua Busche and Clint Carlton of Jackson, cousins of the bride.

Candlelighters were Sumer Smith and Ashley Leach of Thebes, cousins of the groom.

Flower girl was Hannah Brugger, daughter of Keith and Christy Brugger of Jackson and cousin of the bride. Ringbearer was Landon Carlton, son of Lynn and Rachael Carlton and nephew of the bride.

Guest book attendants were Kathy Carlton, aunt of the bride, and Ashley Carlton, cousin of the bride.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Servers were Becky McMillan and Judy Carlton, aunts of the bride; Joni Smith and Susan Tucker, aunts of the groom.

The rehearsal dinner was held Sept. 19 at the Knights of Columbus Hall.

Mrs. Brown is a graduate of Jackson High School, and is attending Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed at Van Weelden Insurance Agency.

The groom is a graduate of Jackson High School. He is employed by Scott Brown Construction.

The couple is residing at Thebes.
