A gasoline tanker truck loaded with 8,500 gallons of gasoline overturned yesterday on Cape Girardeau County Route C, about one mile south of New Wells.

A St. Louis truck driver was injured yesterday in a chemical spill at BioKyowa plant along Nash Road; he was treated and released from the hospital after he inhaled fumes from a hydrochloric acid spill.

Appropriation of $10,000 to be used in partial rehabilitation of that section of Cape Girardeau Northern from Perryville to Perryville Junction, where it connects with Frisco, has been ordered by Judge O.A. Knehans in Common Pleas Court.

Magdalena Fuerth, 73, pioneer resident of Cape Girardeau and one of oldest members of St. Mary's Catholic parish, dies in the morning; she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fuerth, who came to this country from Germany.
